The workshop

The worth of things
made properly.

A small workshop, a process with no shortcuts, and pieces that carry the mark of whoever made them.

From hide to piece

A process with
no shortcuts.

A good tool does not make the piece on its own, but it teaches the hand. The bench drawer holds tooling stamps, punches, a mallet, rules and knives — each with a single job, and not one of them automatic.

  1. 01

    Drawing

The conversation comes before the line: how you use it, what you carry, where you keep it. The need defines the shape.

  2. 02

    Cutting

The hide is chosen by the region of the skin — each part has its own firmness and fall — and cut by hand.

  3. 03

    Stitching

Even holes and a firm stitch, made by hand. It is what holds the whole piece together for decades.

  4. 04

    Finishing

Edges sanded and sealed, crest stamped, tooling struck and the personalisation agreed on.

Built to last

Made to live
alongside you.

Leather changes. It darkens where the hand rests, lightens where it folds, keeps the mark of the key in the pocket and the rain on the road. A new piece is only its beginning.

That is why Kaíru does not work in seasonal collections: the right piece is the one you will still be using twenty years from now, better than on the day it left the bench.
